Nityanand Haldipur Biography 
Nityanand Haldipur is an Indian flutist, who performs in Indian bamboo flute. He is a purist in the true Maihar Gharana tradition, and one of the foremost and successful disciples of Annapurna Devi, a legendary Indian musician who passed away in October 2018. Haldipur is an A-grade artist at All India Radio. He was honoured with Sangeet Natak Academi award in 2010, for his contributions towards the field of music. Nityanand's performances are a perfect blend of style and substance, and he has performed at various musical events worldwide. He regularly performs in All India Radio and Doordarshan. Nityanand has produced and hosted several shows on All India Radio, and composed music for many radio shows too.
Nityanand Haldipur was born on 7 May 1948 into a musical family. He got inclined towards music since young, and was introduced to music by his father at a young age. His father, Niranjan Haldipur was a flute player and a senior disciple of Pannalal Ghosh. He continued learning this musical instrument for next two decades under different gurus and also started giving public concerts. Since 1986, Nityanand has been learning from Annapurna Devi. He is also a renowned teacher who strictly follows Gurukula tradition for teaching his students.
He adheres to the Pannalal Ghosh style of playing the bansuri. Over the years he developed his unique style of playing music on the flute, and his learning under different gurus belonging to different traditions also attributed a lot to develop a style of his own. Apart from performing, he has also released a number of albums.
