Mohammed Hussain Biography 
Mohammed Hussain is a ghazal singer from Jaipur, Rajasthan. He along with his elder brother Ahmed Hussain together performs for live concerts. They are the sons of the famous ghazal and thumri singer Ustad Afzal Hussain. The duo mostly sings classical ghazals and has also tried Hindustani music and bhajans – devotional songs. They have released about 50 albums, and have taken many efforts in popularizing music. The brothers have strong base in Hindustani music, yet chose ghazal as the medium to express the poetic singing. The duo was also honoured with Sangeeth Natak Academy award in 2000.
Ustad Mohammed Hussain is the eldest son of Ustad Afzal Hussain, born on 2nd December 1953. Mohammed Hussain is more than 2 years younger to him. He hails from Rajasthan, born into a family with strong musical background. His father Ustad Afzal Hussain is a famous ghazal and thumri singer. The brothers received training in music from their father. They started their singing career in 1958. They started with Hindustani singing as well as thumri, and later got into ghazal singing, through which they got immense popularity.
The brothers have sung songs in Hindi, Punjabi and Bengali languages. Their first album Guldasta was released in 1980 and their talent got noticed. After that in a career spanning to about 4 decades, they have released about 50 music albums including ghazals and bhajans. Some of their released albums include – Khayal-E-Yaar, Mukhatib, Kabhi Kabhi, Pyar Ka Jazba, Rahnuma, Zindagi, Guldasta, Ek Hi Saroop, Nissar, Shraddha, Veer Zaara, Kashish, Mohabbat, Izhaar, Naat, Rifaaqat, Shamakhana, Kabhi Kabhi,Noor-E-Islam,Humkhayal etc. Born as the sons of the famous ghazal and thumri singer Ustad Afzal Hussain, the next generation is also into music.
