Krishna Mohan Bhatt Biography 
Krishna Mohan Bhatt, shortly called Krishna Bhatt is an Indian musician and sitar player from Jaipur of Rajasthan. He is also a teacher and a musical scholar. He hails from the family of musicians. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Grammy-winning Hindustani classical music instrumentalist of Mohan Veena is his uncle. Famous musicians, Salil Bhatt and Gaurav Bhatt are other members from his family with deep links to music. Gaurav Bhatt is his nephew, while Salil Bhatt is his cousin. Krishna performs in India and abroad, and also teaches students in foreign cities like New York.
Krishna Bhatt hails from a musical family of Jaipur, Rajasthan, and he inherited music from his forefathers. Actually his forefathers migrated from Andhra Pradesh to Rajasthan, where they got settled. His father Shashi Mohan Bhatt was a well-known sitar artist, from whom Krishna learnt early lessons of music and sitar. Manju Mehta and Vishwa Mohan Bhatt are other members of his family associated with music. Apart from traditional Hindustani music, he has also performed fusion music with international artists.
During his teens, Krishna got opportunity to learn sitar from the legend, Guru Ravi Shankar, and also learnt from musicians Nikhil Banerjee and Ali Akbar Khan. Krishna is known for developing his own individual style in music. But he has been influenced by some of the great names of Hindustani music in the 20th century. He is a recipient of numerous honours including Sangeet Kalaratna in 2009, Gunjan award in 2005, Kalashiroman samman by Jaipur Virasat Foundation in 2007, AIIS fellowship awards in 1998 and 2004 and many more honours. His performances of Hindustani ragas have won the admiration of audiences in many countries of Asia, Europe and North America.
