Jagdish Chaturvedi Biography

Dr. Jagdish Chaturvedi is a physician by profession, a prolific writer and a standup comedian as an artist. His comedy videos are already instant hit in YouTube, and he is popular indeed. He has authored noted books like "Inventing Medical Devices: A perspective from India", "The benefits of failing successfully" and “One year of Standup comedy." He is an ENT Surgeon, also got recognized as a young innovator before he reached 35. Many inventions related to medical field is also associated with his name, such as Ear Nose Throat Multiscope Recorder - a low cost portable device, Bioscoop, a novel low cost liver biopsy device which he co-invented and a few more innovations.

 

Jagdish Chaturvedi hails from Bangalore, Karnataka. He was born on 27 March 1984. His medical studies were completed from Sri Siddhartha Medical College, Tumkur where he completed MBBS, followed by St. John's Medical College where he did PG in Ear, nose and throat surgery. He is also an eminent ENT surgeon of the country who conceptualised 3 medical device inventions each presently at different stages of development. A Bangalore-based physician, he recently proposed Aawaazz, an objective behavioral neonatal screening tool. He has also authored three books related to medicine and comedy.

 

As a standup comedian, he has earned a lot of recognition in the recent times. He has performed in cities across India, apart from his shows uploaded on YouTube. His shows such as Laughter Therapy (2017), F for Failure (2017) and Comedy Khichidi (2018) remained immensely successful. He has also performed in many foreign countries. A medical device inventor, he loves to see medicine as an endlessly creative profession.
