Indu Nagaraj Biography 
Indu Nagaraj is a very successful playback singer associated with Kannada film industry. She has also sung a few Telugu film songs. Associated with film industry since 2007, she has completed one decade in the industry. She received Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the song "Pyarge Aagbittaite" from the movie, Govindaya Namaha released in 2012. Same song also bagged her Udaya Film Award for Best Female Singer. In 2016 she won SIIMA Award for Best Female Singer for the popular song, "Thraas Akkathi" from Doddmane Hudga composed by V. Harikrishna.
She hails from Mysore, Karnataka. Indu was born into a musical family from Chilkunda village. Her father C. A. Nagaraj is a vocalist and flutist and her elder sister Lakshmi Nataraj has also sung for a few movies. The siblings impressed TV viewers through the music programme Ede Thumbi Haaduvenu aired on ETV in 2005 long before they started playback singing. Lakshmi is a recipient of State award in Best Playback Singer category for the song 'Omkara' in the film Aptharakshaka. The sisters earned fame as Chilkunda Sisters. Her mother H. S. Radha is also a vocalist.
Indu started learning music at the age of 3. She learnt both Carnatic classical music and Sugama Sangeetha under the guidance of her father. Her father is a lecturer in English Department at Maharani's PU College. Indu gave her first stage performance aside her elder sister at the age of 5. Since then the sisters have given more than 300 concerts. Indu was also seen in Television series Minchu. Hamsalekha gave her first break to films in the year, 2007. She sang "Olle Time Banthamma" from the movie, Meera Madhava Raghava. Since then she has worked with all leading music composers from Kannada film industry. "Suvvana Suvvanaare" from Raj Vishnu and "Kyare Kyakare O Vanaja" from Kolar are her recent hits.
