Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Biography 
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat is an Indian politician from the state of Rajasthan who currently serves as a parliamentarian in Lok Sabha. He is associated with Bharatiya Janata Party, and is currently the Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. He represents Jodhpur in the Lok Sabha since 2014 and was elected with a record number of votes for that constituency. A very prominent national figure in BJP, he also serves as National General Secretary of the BJP Kisan Morcha, the farmers’ wing of the Bharatiya Janta Party.
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was born on 3 October 1967 in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. He belongs to a Rajput family of Rajasthan. His father, Shankar Singh Shekhawat worked in health department. Gajendra Singh holds Master of Arts and Master of Philosophy from Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur. Shekhawat began his political career in student politics in the early 1990s, while he was at college, and later got active in this field. He also held positions in many forums and organisations. He is quite popular in his constituency as a leader of farmers, and he currently holds the position of National General Secretary of the BJP Kisan Morcha.
Apart from a parliamentarian and minister, he also serves as the Chairperson of the Fellowship Committee. He is also a member of several national committees. He is also quite popular on Social media, and is the most followed Indian politician on Quora with more than 73,380 followers. Got elected to Lok Sabha in 2014, he received a ministry after the reshuffle in 2017. He assumed power as Minister of State Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on 3 September 2017.
He is also known to be a sport enthusiastic who has played basketball during his college days and represented his team in several intercollege competitions. He has been a part of national and inter-university tournaments. He also serves as the president of Basketball Players Indian Association.
