Fateh Doe Biography

Fateh Doe, also addressed as Fateh is a Toronto-based Canadian rapper, music producer and songwriter of Indian descent. His real name is Fateh Singh, with ancestral roots in Jalandhar, Punjab. Both his parents are from Jalandhar, who settled in Bangkok, Thailand. His music journey began in the year 2012, when his hidden talent was discovered by Dr Zeur, yet another leading name in Punjabi music settled in UK. Apart from numerous successful stage shows, Fateh has also rendered his voice for a few Bollywood film songs. His voice was used for the popular song, ‘Lovely’ of Deepika Padukone starrer Happy New Year in 2014.

 

Fateh Singh was born in Bangkok, Thailand to Indian parents. As a young child, his family moved to Hayward, California, U.S. Thus during his childhood days, he got exposed to hip hop music, and gradually grew interested in this genre of fast music. He schooled from John Muir Elementary School and afterwards Hayward High School. When his family relocated to Tornado in Canada, Fateh began his music journey there. He used Fateh Doe as his stage name for his performances. He released three mix tapes in the year – 2009 and subsequently in next two years, and his meeting with Bhangra pop singer Dr. Zeus proved to be a turning point of his musical journey.

 

Dr. Zeus identified the potential of young Fateh, and gave him opportunity to sing with him for a few singles for different albums since 2012. He also joined the new band "Zoo Babies", which released its debut album very soon. He gained momentum in a short interval of time and received offers from several Punjabi pop singers settled in other countries, to sing singles aside them. In 2015, he released his debut solo single ‘Naiyo Jaan De’. Bring It Home is his recent released album.
