Bickram Ghosh Biography 
Bickram Ghosh is an Indian tabla player who performs both Hindustani classical music and fusion music and his works are influenced by thumri and khayal genres of the Patiala gharana. He is quite popular with his fusion experiments and works on classical, rock, new-age, and fusion music as well as film songs. He is married to film actress Jaya Seal. They met on the sets of Hotath Neerar Jonye and got married in 2004. He is the son of music exponents, Pandit Shankar Ghosh and Sanjukta Ghosh.
Bickram was born in Kolkata on 20 October 1966 as the son of tabla maestro Pandit Shankar Ghosh and classical vocalist, Sanjukta Ghosh. His schooling was done at La Martiniere Kolkata and later he became graduate from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. English was his subject and later took MA in English literature from Jadavpur University. He started learning tabala from his father at a younger age and has done jugalbandhi with his father in many live concerts. Later Ghosh has got opportunity to perform with Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and Pandit Ravi Shankar. His father has worked with Ustad Ali Akbar Khan.
Bickram has performed both classical as well as fusion and rock. His band, Rhythmscape, completed 10 years in 2011. Same year, the band released its second album, Transformation which won Best Fusion Album at the Indian Recording Arts Awards 2012. His first release was Drums of India: Father and Son, released in the year 2001. Bickram performs within Troikala in collaboration with a few artists also. His new age experiments also include album releases like - Journey with the Master Percussionists of India, Pulsating Drums, Definitive Collection- Rhythm & Zen, Tagore Lounge, Talking Drums: Masters of Percussion, Tablasphere and The kingdom of Rhythm.
