Anaida Biography

Anaida is one of the well-established pop stars of Indian music industry. She has been one of the earliest stars of Indian Pop music, who helped in popularizing it. She was quite active in the era of 1990s and has completed about 2 decades in the music industry. She has released 10 albums till now and widely regarded as one of India's first pop singers. Apart from pop singer she is also known as an energetic performer, playback singer, actor, director, producer, advertising conceptualizer, creative exponent of the fine arts, painter and lyricist. She signs in 11 languages, which itself is a big achievement and occasionally appears in movies and television shows as guest.

 

She entered music scene at the age of 15, with the single - "Hotline". It was the first single released in India, at a time when pop music was not yet popular. Her first album "Love today hai nahi asaan" was a big hit with the chartbuster song - "Dil le le" which fetched her several nominations. Ace choreographer Saroj Khan choreographed two songs for its music videos - "Hotline" and "Love today hai nahi asaan" which became instant hit and made her popular among fast music lovers. English single "Fever" and DIVA just followed its success.

 

"Nazuk nazuk" released in 1996, featuring the track "Oova Oova" was her next hit track. Its second video "Hoo Halla Hoo", was the first fully animated 3D video ever produced in India, which took almost 6 months. She sang the song "Hakuna Matata" for Hindi version of "The Lion King" aside Baba Sehgal. She released "Hum Sab Ek Hai" on the occassion of 50th Independence Day celebration. She did playback singing for English song for the film "Bombay Boys". Her last Hindi Album is "Nayaa" released in 2006. She is currently working on a number of charity projects, apart from TV shows.
