Alex Paul Biography 
Alex Paul is a popular music director of Malayalam cinema who shot to fame after the release of Classmates in 2006. The movie with some melodious and fast tracks was a huge blockbuster at box office. Ente Khalbile sung by Vineeth Srinivasan was the top song of the year. Kaattadi thanalum and Kaathirunna pennalle too were appreciated by music lovers. Other top works of Alex include Black, 2 Harihar Nagar, Vasthavam, Chathikkatha Chanthu, In Ghost House Inn, Seniors, Mayavi, Kangaroo, Tournament, Duplicate, Chocolate, Achanurangatha Veedu, Pothen Vava, Hello and Thommanum Makkalum. Ishtmalle of Chocolate, Ambalapuzha thechikavile pooram of Black, Muttathe mulle of Mayavi, Chella thamara of Hello and Hossaina Hossaina of Chathikkatha Chandu are some of his chartbuster songs.
Alex’s father is a musician who formed the first music orchestra in Kochi. His elder brother Lal is a popular actor and director. Lal along with Siddique has scripted and directed many movies like Ramjirao speaking, In Harihar nagar and Godfather. He completed graduation in Carnatic music from R.L.V College, Thripunithura and was associated with Kalabhavan, from where he learnt music instruments. He started with television serials and albums and owned a studio as well.
Alex debut as a film music composer with the movie Chathikkatha Chandu, directed by his elder brother. Lal played a pivot role in the movie as well. Alex composed some fast numbers for the comedy film and gained attention within no time. Since then he is associated with many leading film directors like Lal Jose, Shaji Kailas, Rafi Mecartin etc. In 2013 he started India’s first Music technology institute – National Institute of Music Technology.
