Abhimanyu Sindhu Biography

Abhimanyu Sindhu, also known as Captain Abhimanyu is a multifaceted personality from Hisar district, Haryana. He is a prominent politician and MLA representing Bharatiya Janata party apart from a social worker, social activist, journalist, ex-serviceman of Indian army, Philanthropist, Entrepreneur, Educationist, Sports Promoter and many more. He is portrayed as a youth icon and corrupt-free social worker by media. He is the founder and editor of Hindi daily newspaper Hari Bhoomi, one of nation’s highest selling daily. He is the recipient of Babu Bal Mukund Gupt award for Journalism for year 2002.


He is also known as well-educated, well-informed and articulate orator close of Amit Shah. In state assembly elections held in 2014, he has been elected to Legislative Assembly of Haryana from Narnaund in Hisar district. He completed graduation in commerce, followed by LLB from the Maharishi Dayanand University and Postgraduate diploma in Mass Communication from the Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology. He has completed a President Management Program from the Harvard Business School at Harvard University. He has been a successful  entrepreneur before entering the world of politics.


He was born in Khanda Kheri village, Hisar district in 1967 into a business family. He is the son of famous businessman, entrepreneur and founder of of Sindhu Education Foundation, Indus Group of Institutions and Param Mitra Manav Nirman Sansthan, Mitter Sen Sindhu. His education was completed at Rohtak and still now, he lives in a big joint family with his siblings. He is an Arya Samaji Social Reformer and was raised on the principles of Arya Samaj. 


He joined Indian army in 1987and passed out as Second Lieutenant the following year. He received Special Services Medal (Desert) in 1989. Though he was selected for the prestigious Civil Services of  India, he preferred not to join it and wanted to dedicate his life for social causes. Often remarked as the most dynamic face of BJP in Haryana, he entered politics in the 1990s.
