Sub.:An appeal to instruct the D.C. Hailakandi District not to
issue more than 10 to 12 quintals of Wheat Bran on
subsidized rate to farmers to stop selling of wheat bran by
these farmers in the market to gain huge profits who got
huge quantity on subsidized rate beyond their actual need
from Deputy Commissioner Hailakandi by managing the
concerned staff of District Veterinary Office and
Food,Civil Supplies &CA Office Hailakandi.
Respected Sir,
We the undersigned are the local people of
Hailakandi District have the honour to appeal before you kindly to issue an instruction to Deputy Commissioner Hailakandi to search the stock of wheat bran in various places of Hailakandi District and investigate how these wheat bran comes to these places and from whom the shop keepers purchased the same then it will be clear before him what is the real fact as because these rich farmers are getting huge quantity of wheat bran on
subsidized rate beyond their actual need by showing maximum nos. of cows and calves in their farm and managing the District Veterinary Officer thereby they sells maximum quantity in the
market to gain huge amount of money as their purchasing rate is 600/-per quintal and selling rate is 1500/- per quintal here the profit is 900/- this is the best way to gain money on illegal way. So, we request your honour kindly to take necessary steps to stop such type of illegal activities of the farmers immediately.
That Sir, as these rich farmers are selling milk in the market on high rate then why the Government is bound to provide them the huge subsidized wheat bran for their small farm as they started their farm for their own interest by getting huge profit from milk and from wheat bran not for the sake of society. So, this system of mal practices of the farmers alongwith the involved officials should be brought in to book in order to provide justice to society as many poor people are unable to purchase wheat bran due to high rate in the market as 18/-
per kilogram.
Therefore, We appeal before your honour to take
immediate steps for inquiring the matter of selling the wheat bran by the farmers who gets huge quantity on subsidized rate per month and by cancelling the license of huge quantity of wheat bran of these farmers and to provide wheat bran through Fair Price Shops as early as possible for the interest of the society as a whole and thus oblige.
