Pune International Airport

Pune Airport is situated around 10 km to the north-east of Pune, Maharashtra, India. The airport is controlled by the Airport Authority of India and the runway is shared by the Lohegaon Air Base. The airport in Pune achieved the status of international airport when the trips to Singapore and Dubai were originated by an Indian (Airline). However, later, these trips were cancelled. Since airport in Pune is a base Air Force controlled by the Indian Air Force, sometimes there are frictions between the IAF and the Airports Authority of India over arrangement of flights and landing of jets at night.
