Kumar Sanu was the leading singer of Bollywood in the 1990s. Obviously his voice was used for all leading actors of the industry and his matured voice suited ‘Angry young man’ image of SRK in the early 1990s. Baazigar was one of the earliest hits which marked the successful ‘Jugalbandi’ of both. While Udit narayan’s voice mostly suited Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, best hits of SRK belonged to Kumar Sanu. Still with the new romantic image following the success of DDLJ, Udit Narayan’s voice was used most. Vinod rathod’s voice was also used for SRK in the early 1990s. Baazigar gave both Kumar Sanu and its music composer Anu Malik Filmfare awards. The popular songs are indeed Baazigar mein baazigar and Yeh kaali kaali aakhein, which truly deserves a place in my list.  “Ek din aap yu humko mil jaayenge” of Yes Boss is still regarded as one among the best romantic songs ever made in Bollywood. Though Abhijeet’s voice was used for almost all songs of this movie, this romantic number remains at the top. Can anyone forget the passion and intensity of love reflected in the melodious numbers of Pardes? Do dil mil rahe hain and Zara tasweer se tu composed by Nadeem Shravan were the top two songs for the year 1997. Though Filmfare went to Abhijeet’s song for Yes Boss, Pardes was the top music album of the year.

"Tujhe Dekha To yeh jaana sanam" is the soul of the musical - Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. “Loveria” and “Seene mein dil hai” belonged to SRK’s first solo hit - Raju ban gaya gentleman. "Ladki Badi Anjaani Hai" – a teasing number from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai gave Filmfare nomination for Kumar sanu in the year 1998. "Kathai Aankhon Wali" and "Ek Shararat Hone Ko Hai" of the flop movie ‘Duplicate’ were chartbuster for the year 1998. "Dekha Tujhe To" of Koyla, "Jaati Hoon Main" of Karan Arjun and “Is Pyar Se Meri Taraf Na Dekho”, ‘Yeh hai pyar pyar” of Chamatkar also definitely deserves a place in the list. Since early 2000s, Kumar Sanu slowly moved away from Bollywood and joined politics. For the same reason his voice was never used to SRK since then.
