Where to Stay in Varanasi

Many hotels in Varanasi are located around the ghats. This is because it is very interesting to stay over here and foreigners chose those places. Not only for the ghats and river, many famous temples and main markets are all located near the ghats. Sarnath situated about 8 km away is another good chance to stay. This is a calmer place than Varanasi and many budget accommodations are available here. Some hotels also offer free morning and evening boat rides in the river to attract the tourists. But they charge you on the way and so it is better to stay away from such fake offers. In summer season, there will be power outages and so it is better to check if the hotels have backup generator before you book them.
