Thirumohur Temple is also called Mohana Sethram. The idol of Sudarsanar located here has 16 hands having 16 weapons with rolling. Though there are Sudarsanar shrines in various Vaishnava temples, this is the only place where the idol bears the holy mantra letters and so is very famous. The temple is opened from 7 AM to 12 PM and 4 PM to 8 PM. The Moolavar is Kalamegaperumal, Urchavar is Sri Apthan, Amman here is Mohanavalli and the Thala Virutcham is Vilwa.
