Victoria Memorial was dedicated to Queen Victoria and is located in Kolkata. A museum is functioning here at present and serves as the important source of tourist attraction. This memorial was designed by Sir William Emerson and was built with Indo-Saracenic stye. The foundation stone was laid in 1906 and this spreads over an area of 64 acres of land with gardens all around. The museum has many memorabilia related to Queen Victoria and has other exhibits also.

The museum has the Calcutta Gallery that displays the history and development of Calcutta from the time of Job Charnok to the British rule up to 1911, the year when the capital was shifted to Delhi. In the garden, there is a bronze statue of Queen Victory. The library within the premises has some rare books that date back to 1870s.
