Mandore is a historic town near Jodhpur that served as the former capital of the Maharajas of Marwar and has many monuments. The Mandore Fort was once a fine piece of architecture is now in ruins. Fine structures of birds, animals and planets were carved on the outer wall of the temple. The Mandore Gardens with its temples, chhatris and memorials is another attraction here. The Rao Festival, Hariyali Amavasya and Naag Panchami are celebrated here in a grand manner.
