Vrajesh Hirjee Biography

Vrajesh Hirjee is a popular comedian of Indian cinema. He is a Gujarati actor and stage actor too. As an actor, his most popular roles are Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, Tum bin and Golmaal series. Golmaal series made Vrajesh an established comedian of present Bollywood. He is a stage artist also and has also done comedy programs, especially ‘tea time manoranjan’ in Doordarshan during late 1990’s before entering movies. He has appeared as contestant in Bigg Boss 6 and Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout, a game show. Now he is popular with sitcom Bhai Bhaiya Aur Brother of SAB TV. He has also acted in popular soap opera of Sony entertainment Television - Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin in 2003. He has acted in more than 40 Gujarati plays.

Vrajesh was born on 16 June 1971 in Gujarat and his sister too, is a television artist, Pushtiie Shakti. He married actress Rohini Banerjee in 2012 after three years of courtship. Vrajesh first came to limelight when he appeared aside another standup comedian, Raju Srivastava in an entertainment show at 3.30 pm on Doordarshan during late 1990’s – Teatime Manoranjan. The show was presented by Dabbu Malik, younger brother of Anu Malik and very soon, both these talented comedians got exposure to public.

In 2001 he debut Bollywood with Mujhe Kuch kehna hai, which happened to be the debut movie of actor Tusshar Kapoor also. He played the friend’s role and the success of the movie kicked off the careers of both these actors. In 2002, he appeared in Rehna hai tere dil mein, aside Madhavan. This movie is the remake of Tamil flick – Minnalle. When Golmaal:Fun unlimited became a huge hit, he was casted in its sequels as well, which proved as the surprise comedy packet of both its sequels. His stunt scenes in Golmaal Returns were well received also.

He has also worked in movies like One Two Three, Hey baby, Krishna cottage, Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai, Salaam-E-Ishq, Apna Sapna Money Money, Teri meri kahani, Sunday and Fanaa. He is also known for the heated argument with Imaan in Bigg Boss, 2012.
