Sumit Sangwan Biography 
Sumit Sangwan is a young Indian sportsman who has great skills in boxing. He was born on 1st January 1993. He belongs to Shekhupura in Karnal district of Haryana. His father is Surrender Sangwan. Sumit Sangwan got a chance to represent India in light heavyweight 81 kg category in 2012 London Olympics.
He won gold medal at the Asian Olympic Qualifiers held at Astana in Kazakhstan in April 2012 and thus got an entry into 2012 Olympics. He outpunched Ihab Almatbouli of Jordan with 20 – 13 to prove his skills in Olympics. His excellent footwork and prowess is expected to give him success. On 31st July 2012, in 2012 London Olympics he was rejected by the jury who reviewed his bout against Brazilian Yamaguchi Falcao Florentino. His loss was indeed a blow to the Indians.
