Abhishek Nayar Biography 
Abhishek Nayar is a former Indian cricketer from Secunderabad, Hyderabad. He has played more than a 100 matches in domestic cricket and played first class cricket for Mumbai. He has been a part of IPL T-20 matches too, and played for Mumbai Indians, Kings XI Punjab, Pune Warriors India and Rajasthan Royals. He is an all-rounder who bats left-handed and bowls right-arm medium pace. He has also played for National team and had a very brief career in 2009. Interestingly he played three ODIs in the series against West Indies and couldn’t score any runs. He serves as an assistant coach for Kolkata Knight Riders, and played his last match in domestic cricket in 2018.
Abhishek Nayar was born on 8 October 1983 in Secunderabad, Telangana. Both his parents are from Neyyattinkara, Kerala, who migrated to Secunderabad, and Abhishek was born there. He is married to Natasha Sheikh since 2014. He started his domestic cricket career with Mumbai in 2005 and played a long innings with the team till 2018. He was a part of Mumbai Indians in Indian Premiere League during 2008-2010, followed by Kings XI Punjab during 2011-2012, Pune Warriors India in 2013, Rajasthan Royals during 2014-2015 and Pondicherry since 2018. In November 2018, he played in his 100th first-class match as a member of Puducherry.
About his international career - He was named in India's squad for the ODI tour of the West Indies in 2009 and was in the team in chosen three matches. Out of three matches, he got opportunity to bat only once, and unfortunately got out for a duck. He faced a total of 7 balls in his single international innings as a batsman, and also bowled three overs giving 17 runs. He never played for team India again, though was fully engaged in domestic cricket and IPL for next 1 decade.
