Shubham Jaglan Biography 
Shubham Jaglan is a young amateur golfer from Haryana who won Junior World Golf Championships in 2015 at the age of 11. A budding talent from Indian golf arena, the very talented Jaglan has already won over 100 domestic and international tournaments at a very young age. Born in the year 2004, he is a recipient of "NDTV – Emerging Player" and "Margdarshan" awards. It’s quite surprising that this child golfer didn’t receive any formal training from any teacher or academy, except for a few days from a closing golf academy. He is a self-taught golfer who had formative learning from YouTube videos.
Jaglan was born in village Israna, Panipat district, Haryana on 16 August 2004. Born into a poor family, his father is a milkman. His family practices Pehlwani, a form of wrestling quite popular in Haryana. Jaglan received his early education from his native village itself. Got interested with golf, he closely watched YouTube videos and learnt the game. When a NRI named Kapur Singh started a golf academy in Jaglan's village, his grandfather enrolled him there. Though the academy was shutting done, Jaglan continued practice. His decision was not supported by the family. Yet he insisted on his learning.
When the academy got closed, Jaglan continued his practice on a small piece of land in his backyard. His father who supported him converted the small piece of land to green with three holes. Jaglan continued practice with the help of YouTube videos. He was spotted by Delhi Golf Foundation which proved to be the turning point of his career. They granted an annual scholarship of INR 2.0 lakh and a membership in the Delhi Golf Club, and young Jaglan shifted to Delhi along with his father. He won Junior World Golf Championships in 2015 at the age of 11 and more than 100 tournaments as of now.
