S. N. Swamy Biography 
S. N. Swamy is a popular and established screenwriter of Malayalam known for action movies, suspense thrillers and detective series. He is best known for creating well-known fictional characters in Malayalam cinema - Sethurama Iyer (portrayed by Mammootty) and Sagar Alias Jacky (portrayed by Mohanlal). He has played a significant role in placing both these actors as the leading action heroes of Malayalam.
He has been associated with film maker, K. Madhu to produce a series of 4 CBI investigation series, starting with Oru CBI Diary Kuruppu in 1988, where the role of CBI Officer Sethurama Iyer portrayed by Mammooty. The movies which followed the series include – Jagratha, Sethurama Iyer CBI and Nerariyan CBI. The successful duo is now working on the 5th packet of the series titled, Black Ivestigators. Their association started with the movie, Irupathaam Noottandu which gave birth to the famous fictional character, Sagar Alias Jacky through Mohanlal. Apart from K. Madhu, Swamy is also known for his association with director, Joshiy.
Swamy has scripted 42 movies till now, of which 26 were played by Mammootty, followed by 10 films of Mohanlal and 8 films of Suresh Gopi. Mohanlal and Mammootty have worked together in two of his film scripts - Kandu Kandarinju and Geetham. Apart from Sethurama Iyer series, his noted scripts include Koodum thedi (his debut work), Dhruvam, Sainyam, Oru Abhibhashakante Case Diary, Aayiram Naavulla Ananthan, Kandu Kandarinju, Geetham, Irupatham Noottandu, August 1, Ennum Nathante Nimmi, Adikkurippu, Snehamulla Simham, Kalikalam, Oral Mathram, The truth, Nariman, Baba Kalyani, Parampara, Apoorvam Chilar, Adayalam, Balram vs. Tharadas, Oohakkachavadam, Moonnam Mura, Charithram, Naduvazhikal and Carnival. He wrote script of Tamil movie, Maunam Sammadham which starred Mammootty and Amala in lead roles and the movie was directed by K. Madhu.
His film scripts in the recent times - Rahasya Police, August 15, Sagar alias Jacky Reloaded and Lokpal have not been successful like his glorious career one decade back. Janakan is one of his powerful scripts in the recent times and in this movie, two superstars – Mohanlal and Mammootty acted together. Apart from the fictional characters, CBI Officer Sethurama Iyer and Sagar Elias Jackey, he has also reprised some immortal characters (originally created by others) through his pen. Tharadas and Inspector Balram are among those.
