Rehenesh Tp Biography

Rehenesh Thumbirumbu Paramba or simply Rehenesh TP is an Indian professional footballer of India national team, and also plays for Indian Super League - professional football league in India. He plays as a goalkeeper for NorthEast United at present since 2015. He has played on loan in one of the prominent clubs of Bengal, East Bengal during 2016 and 2017 seasons. He played for India U23 in 2015-2016 in 4 matches, and he joined National senior team in 2017, where he appeared for 4 matches.

 

Rehenesh Thumbirumbu Paramba was born on 13 February 1993 in Kerala. He made his professional debut for ONGC in the I-League against Pailan Arrows in December 2012. Before that he was associated with Kerala team and a few more local clubs. He was associated with ONGC for 2012–2013, and later he was signed by Mumbai Tigers for 2013-2014. He played on loan for Rangdajied United in 2014, and then signed Shillong Lajong for 2014-2015 season. He played on loan for NorthEast United in 2014 and was finally signed for the same team the following year. Till now he is associated with the same team.

 

He was motivated by his father and grandfather to play football since young, and now he wants to make his family feel proud. He started playing football in 2005 in Kerala, and is known to be an all-rounder. Yet he mostly plays as goal keeper for his team. He is good both in the air and on the ground and his footwork is nimble. He joined the Sports Authority of India in 2006. He also captained the team in the Subroto Cup and played as a central defender. During 2010-11 season, he played with Golden threads.

 

When he joined NorthEast United in the Indian Super League, his name was listed among the top 10 players for the season. He was one of the best finds of tournament too. His debut match was not so great, but he managed to keep former World Cupper Alexandros Tzorvas out of the side with his impressive performances later in the tournament. He was a front runner for the Golden Glove award for the season too.
