Rani Rampal Biography 
Rani Rampal was born on December 4, 1994 in Markanda Shahbad of Kurukshetra district in Haryana state plays as Forward position for Indian National women's field hockey team from the year 2009. She belongs to an ordinary family but she always wanted to be a hocky player so joined the renowned hockey academy of Guru Baldev Singh at her home town in Shahbad at a tender age of 9. She was soon selected for GoSports' team. It would be appropriate to mention here that GoSports Foundation is a NGO that provides support to deserving talented players.
Rani Rampal participated in the Champion's Challenge in June 2009 Kazan, Russia that India won with the help of four goals by Rani in the finals. Rani was adjudged “The Top Goal Scorer” and the “Young Player of the tournament. Rani also contributed in winning the silver medal for the Indian team in the Asia Cup held in Nov 2009.
Rani Rampal was included in the FIH Women's All Star Team of 2010 on the basis of her performance in Indian national team at 2010 Commonwealth Games and 2010 Asian Games. She was also included in the All Star team of the Asian Hockey Federation based on her performance in 2010 Asian Games at Guangzhou, where the Indian team finished fourth. Rani Rampal is considered one of the best Forward players in the world women's hockey.
Next year Rani Rampal at the age of 15 was the youngest player in the Indian national team that participated in the 2010 World Cup 2010 for Women the 12th edition held in Rosario city of Argentina from 29 August to 11 September 2010. Rani Rampal scored seven goals which was instrumental India gained the ninth position in World Women's hockey rankings, the best since 1978. Rani Rampal was adjudged 'Player of the Tournament' at the 2013 Junior World Cup that India finished with a bronze medal. Rani was named for FICCI Comeback of the Year Award for 2014.
