Pappachen Pradeep Biography

Pappachen Pradeep is an Indian footballer from Thodupuzha, Kerala. He plays as defender for his team and has served as the captain of India's U23 team. He has represented Kerala in Under-17 and Under-21 level plays and has served as a striker of his team. His skill set has been often compared to the great Indian player and former Indian captain I. M. Vijayan, and the critics feel that Pradeep may surpass the former captain in distant future. Dubbed as a rising footballer, he made his way to Indian team and has made some outstanding achievements quite at a young age.

 

Naduparambil Pappachen Pradeep, popularly called Pappachen Pradeep or simply N. P. Pradeep hails from a small village named Moolamattam in Thodupuzha of Idikki district in Kerala. Played for Kerala in Under-17 and Under-21 levels, he was signed for SBT when he was only 17. Through his caliber he reached the position of midfielder and played a pivot role in all winning four Kerala League titles for his team. He has also represented India at different age level competitions. He was one among the members of Indian team which reached quarterfinals of the 2002 AFC Under-20 Championships.

 

He joined the senior Indian team with 2005 SAFF Cup in Bangladesh and became a part of the winning team too. He was a member of National League champions Mahindra United club and has also served as the captain of India's U23 team. He was one of the leading scorers of 2007 Nehru Cup. He has also been associated with Viva Kerala FC, Mohun Bagan AC, Dodsal Football Club, Mumbai etc. He serves as an attacking midfielder of Indian Football team.
