Manprit Juneja Biography

Manpreet Juneja is an Indian cricketer who plays domestic cricket for Gujarat team. He is a right-handed middle-order batsman. In IPL matches he has played with Delhi Daredevils in 2012 and 2013, and later with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2014. He played his first IPL match in 2013 against Kolkata Knight Riders. In his domestic career, Manpreet Juneja owns some outstanding achievements. He made an unbeaten double century in his maiden first class match, played against Tamil Nadu in 2011. In 2013 he along with Abdulahad Malek set the highest ever 4th wicket partnership in any forms of T20 cricket(202*).He was part of the Gujarat cricket team that won the Ranji Trophy in 2016-17. It was for the first time Gujarat team reached the finals of Ranji cricket in its 66 years of history.

 

Manpreet’s full name is Manpreet Charanjit Juneja. He was born on 12 September 1990 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He has played 20 first class matches, 22 LA matches and 19 T20 matches in his career till now, scoring 1520, 752 and 468 runs respectively. He scored a double century in his FC matches, and 201 not out is his highest score. 114 not and 108 not out are his highest scores in LA and T20 matches respectively. He serves as a middle-order batsman for his time.

 

He had a wonderful season at 2012-13 Ranji Trophy, when he scored 796 runs from 8 matches at an average of 66.33. He was in the winning team which won Ranji Trophy for the first time in 2016-17. He played a magnificent role aside skipper Parthiv Patel to claim the trophy too. He is only the 4th Indian batsman to score a double century in his debut first class match.
