Manpreet Gony Biography 
Manpreet Gony is an Indian cricketer who is a right handed batsman and right arm medium bowler. He was born on 4th January 1984 in Rupnagar in Punjab in a Jatt Sikh family.
His full name is Manpreet Singh Gony. His mother’s name is Mohinder Kaur Grewal and his wife’s name is Manpreet Kaur. He has two elder brothers namely Harpreet Singh Grewal and Manmohan Singh Grewal. Gony is his nickname.
He entered Punjab team in the Ranji Trophy in 2007-08 season. Then he was picked up by the Chennai Super Kings team in the IPL where he stayed from 2008 to 2010. Being one of the leading wicket taker in the IPL, he is instrumental in the victory of the Chennai Super Kings team against the Delhi Daredevils.
He was bought by Deccan Chargers in the 2011 for an amount of $290,000. He showed remarkable performance in his first match against Kolkata Knight Riders and got Man of the Match award in that.
His ODI debut was on 25th June 2009 against Hong Kong team and also replaced Sreesanth in the Tri National Series in Bangladesh. He plays for the Kings XI Punjab team in the 2013 IPL and on 25th March 2012, he became the first player to bowl three maiden overs in T20 match.
