Karan Sharma (cricketer) Biography

Karn Sharma is an Indian cricketer who plays as an all-rounder for the Railways cricket team. He serves as a left-hand batsman and leg break bowler for his team. He played for IPL team - Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2013, marking his IPL debut. He was owned by Sunrisers Hyderabad with a whooping sum of 3.75 crore. He is the highest paid uncapped Indian player in IPL 2014. He is a left handed batsman and handy googly bowler. Just like any other cricketer, playing for India is his ultimate aim and he believes that even small town lads can climb the success steps of Indian cricket, if he is determined to work hard.

 
He was born in Meerut, UP in 1987. He plays domestic cricket for railways. He made his first-class debut in 2007-2008 Ranji season. It was against Jammu and Kashmir at Karnail Singh Stadium. As a specialist batsman he scored 120 off 232 balls for Railways cricket team gifting the team an innings win. In 2013 he won IPL contract from the new team – Sunrisers Hyderabad. The team also included - Dale Steyn, Thisara Perera and Amit Mishra and the cricketer is quite happy to have Amit Mishra with his team side.

 
He made a match-winning performance against Kings XI Punjab and rose to limelight soon after his IPL debut. His ecom rate was also steady and gained recognition as a youngster. His unbeaten 39 against Chennai Super Kings at their hometown proved to be a match winning performance and he proved himself to be one of the best all-rounders of the side.
