Deepak Mondal Biography 
Deepak Kumar Mondal, best known as Deepak Mondal is an Indian professional football player from Noamundi, Jharkhand. He was born on 12 October 1979. An Arjuna Awardee, he currently plays as a right back for Ozone FC. He was one of India's most prominent right backs for over a decade, and played with national team in this position for so many years and also served as captain for 47 matches. His active years were mostly spent with leading clubs of West Bengal like East Bengal and Mohun Bagan. He has spent 5 years with both these clubs, and has led as team captain in many matches too.
Deepak Kumar Mondal was born in Jharkhand on 12 October 1979. He has been playing the game since his childhood days. At the age of 16, he was spotted by Ranjan Chowdhury who served as the coach of Tata Football Academy who suggested him to join the academy. He completed his graduation in 1998, and after that played with some of the leading clubs of India throughout 2000s and later.
He was first signed by JCT Mills Phagwara in 1998, and he was associated with the team for next two years. In 2000, he joined one of the prominent teams of India, East Bengal and was associated with the club till he signed Mahindra United for 2005-2006 season. During his stint with East Bengal, Mondal won the National Football League title three times, two Durand Cup's, and four Calcutta Football League titles. He joined Mohun Bagan the next season and played many matches for next 5 years. Mondal helped Mohun Bagan to win their only national title, the Federation Cup.
He was awarded Arjuna Award in 2010. He later played with Prayag United, and signed East Bengal again in 2015 for the next two years. He played on loan for Kerala Blasters, and also represented Mumbai City. He joined National team in 1999, and retired in 2011, playing 47 matches in between.
