C. Rameshwori Devi Biography

C. Rameshwori Devi is an Indian female cyclist from Manipur who has won 102 medals altogether. Her 100th medal was a gold, and she has won many international medals. She is also a  multiple national record holder. She has won 56 Golds and 15 Silver in National Meets and five gold and two silver in the international meets till now. She is now 42 years old and working as a CID Inspector. She is a mother of two kids. She has received a total of 7 international medals - 5 gold and 2 silver.

 

C. Rameshwori Devi hails from Manipur. Before she got into cycling she has tried with cricket, basketball and triathlons. She turned active in the professional career of cycling since 1995, and in a career spanning to more than 2 decades, she has claimed more than 100 medals as well. She has won many national championships, and her medal collections include a few international ones too.

 

A mother of two, she took break from cycling for a span of 3 years devoting her time for maternal duties, and later she returned once again to the same profession. When she returned back in 2015, she beat Deborah Herold in the women’s sprint event at the National Games in Kerala in 2015, clinching her 100th medal.

 

Ever since she started her profession in 1995, she has been receiving medals since then. Some of her major achievements include – Silver at Asian Cycling Championships 2005, 4 medals including 1 Gold in the National games held at Kerala in 2015, 56 Gold and 15 Silver in National Meets and 5 gold and 2 silver in the international meets.
