Biswajit Saha Biography

Biswajit Saha is an Indian football player from Kolkata associated with different football clubs. He plays as a left back for his team. Playing football since 2007 as a junior, he is currently associated with Atletico de Kolkata, football club based in Kolkata that plays in Indian Super League. He has earlier played for George Telegraph S.C, Mohun Bagan, Salgaocar and Eagles F.C football clubs for India, and is a valuable player for Atletico de Kolkata and Sporting Clube de Goa since 2014.

 

Biswajit Saha was born on 15 December 1987 in Kolkata, West Bengal. He joined Milan Samity in 2006 and played in Calcutta Football League 1st Division B group. After that he played for George Telegraph S.C (2007–2009), Mohun Bagan (2009–2011) and (2012–2013), Salgaocar (2011–2012) and Eagles F.C (2013–2014 ) football clubs, before joining the premium Atletico de Kolkata in 2014. Playing as a left back for his team, he is a permanent fixture of team Kolkata since its inhibition. He played 20 matches for Mohun Bagan during 2012–2013 season and 11 matches for Atletico de Kolkata since 2014.

 

He received coaching from Raghu Nandy, and has played many important matches for his team in the past 10 years or so. He also represented West Bengal in Santosh Trophy, which lost to Goa in the finals in tie-breaker. He also had a big season with Mohan Bagan, one of the oldest and leading football clubs of India. He was signed by Eagles F.C. of Kerala on loan for 2013-14 season along with 7 more players, and during his stint with this club, he received training with UK based Reading F.C. Academy for a few weeks.
