Archana Sardana Biography 
Archana Sardana is India's first female BASE jumper. She is also a certified skydiver too. She hails from Jammu & Kashmir. She is first Indian to skydive with Indian Flag in USA. She is also the first Indian to BASE Jump the KL Tower, Malaysia with the Indian Flag. Till now she has done 335 skydives, which is indeed a unique achievement. She is also the first woman Master Scuba Diver Trainer in India and she regularly conducts scuba diving in different parts of the world. She is the only Indian woman to be certified by Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), USA as a Master Scuba Diver Trainer. She currently runs a diving academy namely ‘Archana Sardana Scuba Diving Academy,’ where she trains young women in diving and conquer fear and also to deal with adventurous sports.
Archana Sardana hails from Jammu & Kashmir. She was born in 1974/1975. Her schooling was completed in Srinagar. She was born into a high-class business family. Her parents have been protective and she was brought up in such a highly protective environment, where she was not even asked to travel half kilometre by foot to go to school. Sardana did not grow as an adventure enthusiast. In fact she took a diploma in interior design, which was entirely different from the career she chose later. She got introduced to adventurous sports only after her marriage with Commander Raveej Sardana, an electrical officer of the Indian Navy. The couple has two sons.
She discovered her love for adventure sports only after marriage, and she received good support from family members. She did Adventure and Advanced Mountaineering courses from the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling and Nehru Institute of Mountaineering. She also received ‘C’ licence in skydiving from the United States Paratroopers Association. Later she started a training academy for women, Archana Sardana Scuba Diving Academy.
