Anaka Alankamony Biography
Anaka Alankamony is an Indian sportswoman who represents India in the game of squash. She was born on 10th July 1994 in Chennai in Tamil Nadu. She is the youngest women in the world to get the Women’s International Squash Players Association title. She was only 15 years old at that time.
She completed her schooling at the Sacred Heart Matriculation Higher Secondary School at Chennai and completed her degree in engineering at Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering.
She has won Asian Junior U 19 Championship held at Jordon in June 2011, Indian Junior U 19 Open in September 2011, Asian Junior U 19 Championship in Iran in June 2012, Indian Junior U 19 Open in August 2012 and Ipswich Open in Australia in October 2012. She ended up as runner-up in the Indian National held at December 2011.
She could reach up to semifinals in NSC Series No 3 held in March 2012 and Chennai Open held in May 2012. Her talents in the game got her the Young Achiever Award by Rotary Club of Madras Northwest. Her highest world ranking in the game of squash is 73 as of November 2012.
