Hrithik Roshan started to act in films from his childhood days. Later he entered the film industry in the lead role in 2000 through the film Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai. It should be his luck to get two Filmfare awards for his debut film. He grabbed the Filmfare Awards for Best Actor and the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. This film was a mega hit at that time and his role in the film is a young man who wants to become a singer. A rich girl falls in love with him and the girl’s father treacherously kills him. Later a man with the resemblance of Hrithik meets the girl and helps her to find out the murderer of her lover which was deducted to be her own father. Later she accepts his love.

Hrithik Roshan performed with his father Rakesh Roshan and they played the roles of father and son in that film also which was named Koi… Mil Gaya. This is all about science and technology and supernatural elements like aliens and UFOs. Hrithik Roshan was mentally challenged and behaves like a child and many people ridicule his behavior. At that time an alien comes to their place and they name him Jadoo. He has many super powers and he uses his power to set Hrithik Roshan right. Nisha, a young girl falls in love with Hrithik Roshan. But when the government interfered in the matter of aliens, Jadoo has to leave them. He takes the powers away from Hrithik and later comes back to restore it to make Nisha and Hrithik Roshan live happily.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is one of his best films which earned him a nomination in the Filmfare awards in best actor category. The meaning of the title is there will not be a second life for you. The film revolves around the three friends named Arjun, Imraan and Kabir who travel to many countries. The characteristics of each one of them are brought out well. Hrithik played the part of workaholic Arjun who falls in love with Laila. The film says why he is after money and how Laila corrects him and marries him in the end.

He performed alongside Aishwarya Rai in the movie Guzaarish. He played the role of Ethan, a popular magician who becomes bedridden with spinal injury due to the betrayal of his former best friend Yaseer. Sofia married to alcoholic D’ Silva nurses him. He could not bear his situation and begs the court to permit mercy killing. In the meanwhile a man named Omar comes to him and asks him to teach him magic. He happens to be the son of Yaseer and the truth is revealed at the end. Sofia leaves him for a while and comes back to him after getting divorce from her husband. When Ethan is in his death bed, he accepts Sofia as his wife and the film ends with his hearty laughter.

He paired with Aishwarya Rai in another film named Jodha Akbar. The story is set in 16^th century. When Jodha, the Rajput princess was married to Akbar to strengthen the relationship between the two kingdoms, she could not adapt to the new environment. The film says how Akbar wins her love in the end. This film was screened at Sau Paulo International film festival and many other film festivals. It has also won many awards. Hrithik Roshan photos and Hrithik Roshan videos dressed as King Akbar presented him in a different angle.
