Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation was established in the year 2009. It is a non-profit organization that mainly works to secure the future of clean energy in the country by aiding and design as well as implementation of policies that support energy efficiency and renewable energy. Shakti works closely at the national, regional and local levels to originate new policies and build up a new energy industry in India. It brings together experts from all the sectors - industry, academia, law, finance, civil society, think tanks, and many more. Apart from all these, Shakti Foundation has made a tremendous change in India's policy for energy sources. Because it believes that meaningful policy action on India’s energy challenges will strengthen national security, create jobs and keep our environment clean.
