Art Bengaluru, South India's largest Art Festival, is back with its 5th Edition and gets underway on the 21st August 2014. An annual proprietary event of The Collection at UB City & Sublime Galleria, the theme for this year's festival is European Art History. Reputed Art Galleries from the world over, will line the corridors of Bangalore's favourite Luxury Mall, UB City up to 30th August 2014 with their artworks. Each year, Art Bengaluru has grown in comparison to its previous editions, but this year's festival is truly on an international scale. The art festival will showcase 13 Top Galleries including one from New York & Vietnam, apart from showcasing one of China's most popular artists, Liu Bolin and his works, for the first-time ever in India. Bolin is creating a collection exclusively for Art Bengaluru. This year's event aims to reflect upon the Renaissance period. The rich chapters of European Art History will be the inspiration for the décor, theme & installations within the Mall. Mashaal lighting, a frame entrance, the Colosseum as the backdrop for the Opening Night, a life-size book on the various famous paintings of the Era, junk art of paintings & an enormous scroll, all promise to make the event one of the best ones in its categories yet.
