The IPL 2013 had finished. Mumbai Indians won the trophy defeating the Chennai super kings. There are many moments in this IPL that are unforgettable. Through this article I describe my unforgettable moments of this IPL.
The first memorable moment for me in this IPL is the first ball by Bret Lee to Unmukth Chandh. This ball pitches in length and swings a little taking the off stump of Unmukth. This is the true example for fast and swing ball and beauty of this is the commentary ‘off stump goes for a walk’. Another unforgettable is the openers of the Mumbai Indians Sachin and Ricky Ponting; the two legends of cricket. It is a pleasant moment to see both of them padding as openers for one team. Another moment is the conflict between Kohli and Gambhir. I never expect such a ridiculous fight between two senior Indian cricketers. Although both of them involved in it I think Kohli is main reason for that incident. According to me Kohli’s character is not mature as compared to his playing.
Another ever unforgettable moment is the ‘Gayle Storm’. Before that innings I never even thought a human being can hit a cricket ball likewise. It was such an unbelievable hitting and he scores 175 even in 20-20 game. (Think 175 is a good score for a team in 20-20). Another unforgettable incident is also in that game is that the little beautiful innings by AB Devillers. It was also a tremendous hitting but it never goes too big. Another incident is the play of “Killer” Miller for Punjab kings. It was an unbelievable century by miller to destroy the Bangalore royal challengers. Another moment is also in that match when Kohli drops Millers catch and the ball hit his own nose.
Another unforgettable is the two catches taken by pollard in the boundary line. The first one is of Dhoni’s when all the spectators in stadium thinks it as a six, Pollard jumps and plucks the catch unbelievably. The other catch is also a brilliant one of Marsh’s when he jumped more than any cricketer in the history of the game. Another unforgettable moment is when three Rajasthan players were arrested for spot fixing. It is such a shame for the IPL 2013 and it remains as a black mark in the minds of cricket lovers.
