Government Museum is situated in the Mysore road and displays various tribal objects. It helps the visitors to learn about the art, crafts and items of tribal people. Todas are the indigenous people of Ooty.

The Government Museum in Ooty is open on all days except Fridays, second Saturdays and other national holidays. It is open to the visitors from morning 10 A.M. to evening 5 P.M. It is free for all to visit the museum.
