The Red Fort Archaeological Museum is also called Mumtaz Mahal museum as it is located in the Mumtaz Mahal in Red Fort. There are six galleries here that has the objects of the Mughal period.

 

The belongings of the Mughal Emperor Akbar, miniature paintings, stone inscriptions, astrolabes of 17th century, curtains, pillows, carpets, costumes and cushions of the Mughal period are all displayed here. There is a separate Bahadur Shah Zafar gallery that has the pen stand, ink pot, toilet box, etc used by him and his men.
