Folk Lore Museum has the exhibition of folk arts and has various collections collected from different places of Karnataka. This museum was established in 1968 and this was located in the premises of University of Mysore. The museum houses a collection of more than 6500 unique folklore exhibits and has different wings for displaying folk life, literature, large dolls and art.

The costumes of Kathakali and folk dramatists of Andhra Pradesh, the items representing Soliga community, the ornamental wooden alter of Jnanapeete Awardee Kuvempu, folk musical instruments, folk deities, ceremonial headwear, etc.
