Thindalmalai Murugan Temple is one of the popular Hindu places of worship in Erode. This is situated on the hillock near Erode called Thindalmalai. The temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan and the diety here is called Sri Velayudhaswami.

The temple has a golden chariot temple car. The western part of the Thindal is called Mael Thindal or Thindal Medu and the eastern part is known as Keel Thindal. The temple spreads over an area of 6.25 acres at an altitude of 50 m and is 750 years old. There are steps to reach the temple and the whole structure is located just opposite to the Vellalar Arts and Science College for Women.
