Panch Mahal is the five storey building built by Mughal Emperor Akbar in Fatehpur Sikri. This is also called Badgir meaning watch tower. This columnar structure has four storeys gradually decreasing in size and ending with a dome. The whole structure is built on 84 columns with jaali in between them.

Panch Mahal has a pavilion. The building resembles the Buddhist Temple. It took 10 years to complete the city. It was used as a pleasure palace for relaxation and entertainment purpose. There is a pool in front of the Panch Mahal and this is called as Anoop Talao.
