Protection of my property in absentia |
|
9th October 2018
To,
The Collector
Kollam Collectorate Office
Kollam - 691001
Sub: Protection of my property in absentia (“Sthuthi”, Bapuji Nagar No 4, Asramam Kollam- 691 002), from illegal activity by Mr.Philip (Bobby) ,Son in Law of the complainant using Biju Health Inspector Grade-I, Municipal Corporation, Kadappakada Office, Kollam, Kerala.
Sir,
I being a Senior citizen may beg your kind attention that my grievance may be heard and due justice given to protect the teak tree situated in my compound about five feet from the boundary wall of the complainant’s house and which is being occupied by tenants since the last 20 years. The complainant is living in Kottayam since.
My teak tree is more than 40 years old and planted by my late father and long before the complainant’s house was constructed. The complainant who is very old and sick is living with her only daughter and son –in-law, for the past 20 years in Kottayam and was forced to file a complaint by her son –in- law , Mr.Philip (Bobby), a gulf returnee and having vested interest in my teak tree. The tree which is about five feet from the boundary wall, has grown vertically straight and as you well know has a deep taproot system. This majestic tree has not caused any threat to any person since the past 40 years. Mr Philip (Bobby), Son In Law, had asked me to cut the Teak tree and upon my refusal filed a complaint on frivolous grounds in your office. However, based on the corporation’s instructions I have complied. Since I am out of station (as seen at the end of this grievance) I spent more than Rs.4000/- and requested my tenants to get the branches cut whatever extended into the complainant’s compound.
Even after complying with all the Kollam municipal corporation’s instructions I am being regularly harassed over the telephone in this regard by Mr. Philip (Bobby) through Mr.Biju, Health Inspector, Grade- 1 of Municipal corporation Kadappakada office to cut down the teak tree situated well away from the boundary wall or face the consequences.
However, this is also to inform you that the complainant’s house Vadasseril, Bapuji No.3 Asramam was built violating many of the Corporation’s building norms which can be verified. This house has no proper drainage or waste disposal system and all the rain water and drain water is falling into my compound since that house was built. Since it was my cousin’s house I have not made a complaint regarding this till date.
In this backdrop, since I work in Bhopal for the government of India for the last 33 years and being out of station, in my absentia I seek kind justice for the protection of my property from any illegal activity in my property either by the complainant or by Mr. Biju Health Inspector Grade – I or by any other person.
With kind regards.
