Yuthan Balaji Biography

Yuthan Balaji is a Tamil film actor from Tamil Nadu. He played lead role in Tamil movies - Kaadhal Solla Vandhen (2010) and Nagarvalam (2017). He entered the film scene through 2009 film Pattalam in a supporting role, and did supporting roles during his early days. His first screen appearance was for a TV show in 2006, Kana Kaanum Kaalangal aired on Star Vijay. He also appeared in the dance reality show, Kana Kaanum Kaalangal (2006) aired on Zee Tamizh.

Yuthan Balaji’s real name is Balaji Balakrishnan. Yuthan started his career with television and later moved to big screen. He was introduced to mini screen as an actor through the show, Kana Kaanum Kaalangal for Star Vijay in 2006. He played the role of Joseph in this school drama series. Three years later he marked his big screen debut with Nadiya Moidu starrer hit film on teenagers, Pattalam. The movie starred many young newcomers alongside with him. He was introduced to the big screen by N. Linguswamy through this movie which was a box office hit.

Very soon Balaji bagged his first film in a lead role. He played male lead in Kaadhal Solla Vandhen (2010). Meghana Raj played the female lead. This campus love story garnered mixed to positive reviews and did a moderate business at the box office. Yuthan Balaji rose to fame after this movie release. He also bagged more roles from silver screen. Modalaindi Ela, Meiyyazhagi and Nagarvalam are his movies released later, with limited success. He played male lead in the most recent release, Nagarvalam in 2017. He got married to Preethi in 2016, and the couple got separated in 2018.
