Vishnu Priya Biography

Vishnupriya Ramachandran Pillai, shortly called Vishnupriya is a model, dancer and actress associated with south Indian films. She predominantly works in Malayalam films. She made her film debut in the year 2007 with a supporting role and later moved to lead roles. Speed Track in 2007 was her debut flick. Keralotsavam in 2009 was her first movie as a lead actress and Penpattanam released the following year was her first noticed film, where she played one among the lead actresses. Naanga in 2011 marked her Tamil debut. Since then she is associated with cinema, portraying both lead and supporting roles. God's Own Country (2014) was her last release, which starred Fahadh fazil in lead role.

Vishnupriya was born and brought up at Bahrain. She was born on February 22, 1987 in Behrain. She completed her education in Behrain itself. Latre she completed BBA degree from The Birla Institute of Technology International Centre. Vishnupriya is a trained classical dancer who won the Inter-school championship for Bharata Natyam while at school. She has also been associated with theater while at Bahrain. She made her film debut with Dileep starrer Speed Track in 2007, in an uncredited role.

In 2009, she received her first credited role - Keralotsavam 2009, where she played female lead opposite Vinu Mohan. She played the role of Ganga who does research in Mohiniyattam. The movie directed by cine actor Shankar also had veterans Nedumudi Venu and Kalabhavan Mani in the star cast. However the movie was a flop. She got noticed for the first time with the movie – Penpattanam. Later she was seen in a supporting role of a singer in Makara Manju. Two of her movies — Naanga in Tamil (her debut flick) and Crime Story in Malayalam, were released on the same day. Naanga received good responses. She did a cameo role in Proprietors: Kammath & Kammath. Banking Hours 10 to 4, Lisammayude Veedu and Naughty Professor are her other releases.
