Vinutha Lal is an upcoming actress of Malayalam films who played female lead in 2014 Malayalam film – Parangi Mala, a remake of Bharathan classic in the 1980s with the same title. Known for her glamorous roles, she has also appeared in Tamil Movie "Aggiravva". Most recently she has changed her name back to her original name – Ashwathy lal. Vinutha was also seen portraying supporting roles in Malayalam movies – Bhayya Bhayya, Ulsaha Committee, Pramukhan, Saaradhi etc. She was also seen in a bit role in 1996 Kannada film – Appaji, directed by D. Rajendra Babu. Even though she hails from Karnataka, she appears in Malayalam movies most.

This dimpled actress was born on 13th May 1990 in Bangalore, Karnataka. She started off with modelling and also appeared in a few ad films, before her foray to big screen. She was seen in Pothy's Textiles ad. Though born as a Bangalorian, she doesn’t prefer Kannada films or Bollywood. She just wants to walk around as a normal girl in her city. She is a great fan of both the super stars of the industry – Mammootty and Mohanlal. Though she loves to act in Malayalam movies, language is the only problem.

She was seen in an uncredited role of 2009 movie – Pramukhan, starring Kalabhavan Mani and Sadiq. She was seen in a seductive avatar in her debut Malayalam flick, Parangimala, where she was paired with Biyon Gemini. The movie also starred Meghna Vincent as second lead. She changed her name before she acted in Malayalam film, Bhaiyya Bhaiyya. She played the second lead – Shanti in the movie. She also lost 8 kilos and was seen in a new avatar for this movie. Chilaneragalil Chilar directed by Sreenivasan Parameshwaran is her upcoming flick, where she plays a negative role.
