Vinitha Koshy Biography

Vinitha Koshy is an upcoming actress associated with Malayalam film industry. She was one among the bunch of young actors who made their film debut with 2016 campus film, Anandham. The movie was a huge hit at box office, and Vinitha received more offers from film industry. Before her debut film, she was quite popular in social media through Dubsmash videos, which helped her to get her debut film as well. She later played noted supporting role of Clara in Aby and Mareena in Avarude Raavukal too. Angarajyathe Jimmanmmar is her upcoming flick, where she plays a comedy character.

Vinitha Koshy hails from Kollam, Kerala. She did her schooling at Mount Carmel Convent Anglo Indian Girls High School and plus-two education from St. Johns higher secondary school, Karuvelil, both from Kollam. Since school days she was active in cultural events and participated in dance and skits. She is married to Jose Jojo. Vinitha worked as a pediatric counselor at Singapore before she made her film debut through Aanandham in 2016. Her role as ‘Lovely Miss’, a teacher was well appreciated. Director debutant Ganesh Raj, introduced several newcomers to the entertainment industry and Vinitha was one among them. She was directly selected for the role by the director without any audition, who watched her you tube videos.

Very soon she received offer to play child Aby’s mother in 2017 flick, Aby. Her character played a pivot role and her role as Aby’s mother got noticed as well. She was also featured in Tamil music video ‘Mounam Sollum Varthaigal’ aside Abhimanyu Ramanandan which became a Youtube sensation. In fact her Dubsmash videos uploaded in you tube gave her first break to big screen. She is to play her first lead role through the comic flick, Angarajyathe Jimmanmar and she dons a comedy role too. Damayanti is her screen name for this film.
