Vijo Vijayakumar Biography

Vijo Vijayakumar is a budding actor associated with Malayalam cinema, who marks his acting debut with Malayalam film, Ladoo. Vijo had never dreamt of an acting career. Interestingly, the opportunity to act in a movie came knocking at his door when he was writing a script. In fact his friendship with director Arun George and scriptwriter Sagar Sathyan earned him a role in the movie. He portrayed the character role of Jinto, the simpleton but a go-getter man of the recent release Ladoo, which opened to positive reviews. He has earlier appeared in a social satire series called Double Omelette, which was aired on YouTube.

Vijo Vijayakumar hails from Thrissur, Kerala. He loved writing. Before he joined film world, he worked as a medical representative, a job which he took up due to his circumstances. He was interested in writing screen plays more than acting, and during leisure hours he used to write stories and screenplays. He has scripted the short film, Mey Dinam before. He knew director Arun George and scriptwriter Sagar Sathyan earlier, and he worked with them for the social satire series called Double Omelette, which received good responses from net viewers. They worked together for YouTube videos, based on socio-cultural issues, threated with a pinch of humour.

His character role in Double Omelette also bagged him his first film role through Ladoo in 2018. The actor says, he can relate himself very much to the character in the movie, who is an energetic, talkative and fearless person. His experienced co-stars helped him in improvising his role in the movie. He was very much excited and speechless when he saw himself on screen for the first time. His work also got appreciated. He is fondly called Mani by everyone. Currently he is busy with writing a new script.
