Venu Thottempudi Biography 
Venu Thottempudi is a popular hero of Telugu cinema known for portraying comedy and entertainment films. Swayamvaram, Chirunavvutho and Kushi Kushi Gaa are his commercial hits belonging to comedy genre. He has been playing comedy roles for more than a decade. He is the nephew of Telugu film director known for commercial hits, B. Gopal. He was born in June 4, 1976. He holds an engineering degree from Dharwad Engineering College.
He got his first opportunity to play lead role under P. Bharathiraja. However the movie got shelved. But he got help from a few friends who started a new film banner under which he started his film career. The banner was S. P. Entertainments and his friends associated with it include Shyamprasad, Sai and Prabhu. Swayamvaram (1999) directed by K. Vijaya Bhaskar marked his career beginning under this new banner. He was casted in lead hero role opposite Laya and the movie was a commercial hit. Venu received Nandi Special Jury Award for the movie too. Very soon he became popular among the audience for his dialogue delivery and perfect timing in comic scenes.
His next release was Chiru Navvuto in 2000, which also turned out to be a commercial success. He received more offers from film directors. Though he received success through his earlier releases, he tasted the bitterness of failure through Manasu Paddanu Kaani and Veedekkadi Mogudandi? But the success of Pellam Oorelithe, Kalyana Ramudu and Hanuman Junction brought him back to limelight. Kalyana Ramudu was the remake of Malayalam Malayalam blockbuster Kalyana Raman where he reprised the role of the hero played by Dileep in the original. He was casted opposite Nikita Thukral, and the movie also included Prabhu Deva, Suman and Nassar in pivot roles. Yamagola Malli Modalayindi in 2007 and Gopi Gopika Godavari in 2009 are other noted works.
